Lemonsjøen is located in Vågå municipality, which boasts very favorable electricity prices compared to the rest of southern Norway.

Lemonsjøen is a great starting point for summit hikes, as you have access to miles of hiking trails right outside your front door in summer and winter. With access to the vast mountain landscape of Jotunheimen and the natural resources the area has to offer, Lemonsjøen is a world-class year-round destination.
For those interested in skiing, there are plenty of cross-country ski trails in the area and Lemonsjøen Alpinsenter is not far away. Jotunheimen National Park is connected to several of Norway's highest mountains, Besseggen, Glittertind and the highest of all mountains in Norway, Galdhøpiggen. Here you can get guided tours up from the famous Juvasshytta cabin over Styggebreen and up to the highest point in Norway, Galdhøpiggen (2,468moh). Or you can take one of Norway's most popular hikes up Besseggen, which offers views of majestic Jotunheimen. Lemonsjøen also offers access to a range of other activities such as hunting, fishing, rafting and cycling. Not far from Lemonsjøen you'll also find Brimiland, a play and activity park.
Description
Polar 88 is a compact cabin with a surprisingly spacious feel and large windows that provide great light and views. The cabin has a protruding center section in the living room/kitchen, with high ceilings and windows all the way up. The space is open and social, and can be furnished in many different ways - a natural gathering point for cooking, meals, sofas and fireside chats. In addition, you can step out onto a large terrace with sheltered patios adapted to changing weather and wind conditions.
The cabin also has two bedrooms, a bathroom and toilet room, as well as a nice loft with a loft living room and two attic rooms. The loft room has a gallery to the living room, with glass railings. There is a closet in the knee wall in the loft, and storage space in a storage room with external access at the entrance.
The cabin is fully furnished. See further description of surfaces etc. under "Standard".
The cabin is upgraded from the standard delivery with, among other things:
- Exterior treated panel with 1-coat primer
- Interior treated surfaces (floor, wall, ceiling)
- Turf roof
- Gable roof over entrance
- Upgraded tiles in hallway
- Painted doors and windows in the color charcoal gray
- Appliances in kitchen
