Winter and spring: Ski touring paradise
Ski touring skis are perfect for Lemonsjøen and Jotunheimen. Here you can go on fantastic summit hikes from the cabin frame, and the location on the roof of Norway ensures skiing well into April and May. At Valdresflye and Sognefjellet, both of which can be reached quickly by car, you can actually ski in shorts until the end of May.
Summer and fall: Ski touring mecca
Besseggen, Glittertind or Galdhøpiggen? From Lemonsjøen you can easily reach Norway's most popular summit hikes in a day, and have hundreds of other high mountain adventures in store - and seven-mile boots are not necessary! A very local favorite is Viewpoint Trollhøe at 1370m - with views of six of Norway's most famous national parks a delightful stroll from your cabin.
