Blue EXTRA GUARANTEE

...and Norway's longest network of cross-country ski trails. Lemonsjøen and Jotunheimen offer skiing adventures on the roof of Norway.

How long does your winter last? At Lemonsjøen Mountain Lodge, Blue Extra is laid in early November and provides a feast for

well over Easter. At the gateway to Jotunheimen, the variety of ski trails is sometimes

longest in the country. From Lemonsjøen Fjellstue, groomed cross-country ski trails stretch from

charming pine forests through fairytale Sjodalen to Jotunheimen's snowy mountains and twig trails at

Gjende in one direction and across towards Tesse and Brimi in the other direction.

Is it any wonder hostess Mari Furuset struggles to choose the superlatives - even after another record-breaking long

winter season:

- I am completely hooked. I never get tired of the good, old-fashioned winters here in Gudbrandsdalen.

For almost 40 years, the Furuset family has welcomed skiing guests. Marit, Tor-Ivar and Mari are all still completely devoted when white gold descends and creates

the basis for winter fun for young and old.

Last winter, skisporet.no logged a staggering 320 kilometers of cross-country ski trails in all directions from Lemonsjøen. The longest continuous groomed

network of trails in the country - through terrain so varied and versatile that every ski trip feels like a first. It's not every cross-country skier's privilege to grease their skis with a view

to Rondane and eat a quick lunch in the company of Jotunheimen. The married couple Kjersti Nystuen and Terje Jonny Sveen are among those who walk and walk and walk,

but never gets bored.

- "We've been all over the country for the Norwegian Cup and the main national ski race with the kids, and there are very few places that can compare with Lemonsjøen," says Sveen:

- There are ski trails and terrain for everyone - and if you can't bring the whole family, the alpine center at Lemonsjøen is a charming playground with some of the world's

best freeriders in action on the snow slopes every weekend.
